Why? What's the dang point?! Who cares if some new version of Flipnote Studio?!? WHAT KIND OF REASON IS THAT?! HUH?! Do you even LOOK at the flipnotes in the Most popular? New Flipnotes? Do you know what takes the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, ninth, tenth, fifteenth, seventeenth, twenty second, twenty third, twenty sixth, twenty ninth, thirty sixth, thirty ninth, forty fourth, forty ninth spot of the most popular flips? The third, fourth, fifth, ninth, sixteenth, nineteenth, thirty first, thirty second, thirty fourth spots of newest flips? I found ten channels in about a half hour along with these flip spots. 7 favorites. 12. 9. 19. EIGHT HUNDRED NINTY TWO. 40. 3. 2. And me. CometShard. The unregistered creator with 20 fans. I favorites every single channel I found. just because you people are developing some fancy new studio doesn't mean you absolutely HAVE to shut down Hatena! Some people's only friends are on Hatena. The only reason some people are still ALIVE is because of Hatena. And you guys are going to rip that all away from us?! Do you think we don't CARE?! Some people can't afford a 3DS. And paying for posting is dumb! If you get good ratings you get to skip paying?! That is only going to make people who can't get high enough ratings feel bad about their work! They could be the best creator out there, and they'll think they sucker! I can't even post and I'm fighting for this! That's how much I care. KEEP HATENA ALIVE!!!! Keep it acessable! Even if that means no comments, posting, stars! WHO CARES?! It'll BE there!! Have a special chat room for all of us! I've already lost one of my favorite animators for sure. They can't afford a 3DS. But have they given up? NO! You have already received an email from them. We won't go down. Not without a fight. Not now, not ever. We all wanted a new Flipnote Studio. But we didn't want THIS. Why would you think this was a good idea? By shutting down Hatena, you are destroying some people's only chances to show the world what they can do. To show their skills. To make friends. Sometimes the only ones they will ever have. Don't do this to us. Don't kill our dreams. What you're doing is pointless. You will only lose customers. You will lose fans. And you will lose money. And I doubt you want that. If you have to, shut it down for a month or so. Not forever. But give it a long hard thought. Think about it. What if YOU had no friends, and the only source of friendship or happiness was Hatena. And then you found out it was being stopped. Forever. How would you feel? What would you want to do? We have all decided. We will FIGHT. We will NOT just stand by as you destroy our chances to show the world what we are made of. We will not stand by as you destroy our friendship, our ties, our families. For some it is the only family they have. For some it is all that ties them to life. Don't cut those ties. Don't cut us off from our friends. We all knew it was going to end, someday. But not so soon. Not yet. Wait another few years. Let us have these ties for just a little longer. 2 or 3 more years. That's it. Why not let us leave when we are ready? Take a vote once a year. "keep Hatena, or shut it down?" that's all you need to ask. We will give our response. We will tell you "yes" or "no". Don't take it yet. "All this, from some unregistered young girl who can't even post?" you ask? I care. I won't let it go. Not without a fight. None of us will. Ever.

While you mentioned this near the end of your email, I wanted to say the fact you can or cannot post does not change the fact you are a valid part of what we are. A consumer of Nintendo, regardless of how big or small your part in any of our communities, is always important to us. Your feedback is important to us, and I want to assure you that it will be added to our records and forwarded along to the appropriate departments.
I know this isn't what you were hoping to hear, but at this time, we have no plans to extend the service of Flipnote Hatena beyond May 31, 2013. We are transferring the current services to the new services since Flipnote Studio 3D will be released soon. We apologize for DSiWare Flipnote Studio users, but we appreciate your understanding and continued support.

*sigh* I can't wait for the new Studio.. For one reason: I want new audio.
