I finally have time to talk about stuff! xD

ALRIGHT SO Thursday was a wild ride of a night, it started out good but kinda ended up being an adventure. ;o; I went to this town about forty minutes away with first year Alex (who says I can call her Allie now! :D So that’s cool, and it means it’s easier to differentiate between her and second year Alex in passing conversation, aha. xD) and Gabrielle. It’s kind of a long story as to why we went, and I’m not sure if Allie would want me to share anyway, but it was important so we went.

It got pretty snowy and windy as we were starting back for campus though, so I was driving slow, and it didn’t start out too bad. On the divided highway just outside the town though you couldn’t see any of the lines on the road, so nobody was really driving in a specific lane. Aaand this 18 wheeler decided it was going to pass me, and forced me to move over to the passing lane to let them by, and they kicked up a toooon of snow and it didn’t clear as fast as we expected, and by the time we could see literally anything it was the lower median between the two parts of the highway we could see and we went off the road. quq

EVERYONE’S FINE THOUGH and the car is fine too. We were reeeally lucky, completely subconsciously I didn’t slam the breaks or try to jerk the steering wheel in one direction or the other, and if I had we might’ve rolled the car, and if I had’ve moved to the left instead of the right when the truck started trying to pass me we either would’ve been rear ended by the truck or we would’ve gone off the road on the other side, and the other side was all trees. ;o;

So we pretty much just came to a stop in the median, it wasn’t violent or anything since I was already slowing down when we went off, we just kinda slid and came to a stop.

Dad called a tow truck for us and they pulled my car back onto the road, and we turned around and just went and stayed with Allie’s relatives that lived nearby for the night. quq

I was really weirdly calm through the whole thing? Allie and Gabrielle say I handled it really well. :o

I didn’t feel outright actively upset through it at all, I just felt kinda inconvenienced by it and I knew I felt kinda upset about it but it was more in a subconscious sort of way. It hit me more when we got to Allie’s relatives’ place and I sat on the couch and I was shaky then, I ended up calling Thomas because I just needed to hear a good voice and I had hardly any data left and knew he’d be awake, so I just really needed to hear his voice at that point and I talked to him for a few minutes and that helped a lot, I was waaay less shaky and way more calm about it all after that. ;v;

We drove back to campus that morning, and we missed our first class and we were a little late to the second, but we were there for most of it in the end I think.

So that was Thursday night! ;o; The weather got really unexpectedly bad really fast, we hadn’t even been driving for campus very long and were barely out of the town (we were still passing exits to get to different parts of the town, actually) and it wasn’t really bad when we left.

But that was a wild ride. Everything worked out probably the best possible way it could have in that scenario though? The guy that was behind us in another car when we went off the road stopped and helped us try to figure out if there was anywhere where the hill / side of the median was shallow enough we could drive the car back out, and overall he was just a really nice guy. quq

Last night was a whole other unrelated adventure, but it’s not really significant and I don’t really feel like getting into it right now, so I think I’m just not gonna for tonight. I’m reeeally tired, so I think I’m gonna stop writing here for tonight and go to sleep soon. xD

I’ll be back on again tomorrow for sure, though! ^^

Good night guys! :D
